<@celticminstrel> Or you could take a taxi instead. It’d probably be cheaper.
00:11
< Yossarian>
nope
00:11
< Yossarian>
been without a car for quite some time, prices match or are higher or taxi company is out of business
00:11
< Yossarian>
<&[R]> IIRC he's in some 900 population town in NJ
00:11
< Yossarian>
ernt
00:12
< Yossarian>
Camden is 3 bus stops away
00:13
< Yossarian>
At the 2010 U.S. Census, the city had a population of 77,344.[9][11][12] -- I'm sure they're not counting nearby sprawling suburban areas, either. This part of South New Jersey once had industry in state and still has a few items of interest, but it's basically for crossing the Ben Franklin Bridge to get to Philadelphia.
00:14
< Yossarian>
3 short bus stops
00:15
< Yossarian>
<@ErikMesoy> Would saying the town's name be a millidox? 🤔
00:15
< Yossarian>
I don't think so, but all the hobos know each other. This guy who spends a lot of time outside of Wawa with a sign knows my "father" before I got him sober along with everyone else.
00:16
< Yossarian>
I have a strong desire to get the fuck out of this state and go somewhere a bit more rural but that's a far more future goal
00:21
< Yossarian>
Which reminds me, I was looking about a year or so ago at map software to try and give analysis to chosen apartment and job ventures but it turned to nothing.
00:35
< Yossarian>
I would like to take the experiences I learned from being poor and literally excommunicated from my family and open source the tools or lessons since camden county board of social services is next to useless
00:36
< Yossarian>
so a map tool or anything like that would be a great help, even though I'm technologically savvy in many ways, there are those who are not...
00:38
< Yossarian>
or some sort of tool or API of an API for Google Maps to list potential apartments, jobs, get the bus route or distance and that kinda analysis which I haven't even done 'cept in my head
00:39
< Yossarian>
most people in this position don't even have access to a proper computer, might have a cheapo smartphone but that ain't shit
00:40
< Yossarian>
although I must say Moto was a worthwhile purchase
00:43
< Yossarian>
I'm simply thinking out loud... A tool to handle financials/spending, handle contacts and to handle geographical/spatial analysis (with ability to pull up public transport, crime, other stats) would be nice
00:48
<&[R]>
gnucash?
00:48
<&[R]>
I have a bunch of books on personal finance
00:48
<&[R]>
s/books/pdfs/
01:03
< Yossarian>
a tool, but for that kinda thing I usually just do it on paper
01:03
< Yossarian>
but I haven't done an analysis on where all the money is going but I know the answer is "cigarettes"
01:08
< Yossarian>
ah
01:08
< Yossarian>
about:config
01:09
< Yossarian>
browser.search.openintab
01:09
< Yossarian>
for firefox search bar to open query in new tab

11:56
<&[R]>
Hopefully not a massive one?
11:58
<&McMartin>
The rewrite ended up at about 50 lines long, and that includes the blank lines and autogenerated parts
11:58
<~Vorntastic>
Welcome to the madness place
11:59
<&McMartin>
Sadly, this brief bout of insomnia was mostly spent in the Pedantic Scholar place
11:59
<&McMartin>
looking up which functions intrinsically included memory fences
11:59
<&McMartin>
The answer being, of course, "the ones that you would expect and demand this of"
12:27
<@TheWatcher>
Spoken like a man who isn't using PHP~
12:29
<@Tamber>
"Ah, yes. The memory 3-wire-fence; more of a gentle suggestion not to cross this line, than anything."
12:31
<&McMartin>
"As long as I actually use sem_post and sem_wait, I don't have to care about volatile or the CPU re-ordering memory writes out of critical sections, right"
13:00
< catalyst>
I added a swizzle
13:01
< catalyst>
Neon makes it hard to determine which swizzles should exist, because it doesn't have a general operation like SSE does :|
