Vornicus: ... could you paste that line of code, um

Vorntastic: So, for a specific kind of record in the list (Upgrade 20XXz), I would like to find the latest one before the start date of the calendar to state the 'current patch number' as it were
11:46
<&Reiver>
I can then trim the text for 'Upgrade' off of it and have a neat little version number
12:06
<&Reiver>
I am pretty sure I can do... something... to make it work with a max or something but
12:06
<&Reiver>
(Note: Upgrade status is eg 2021b)

<@gnolam>
Had a Teams+TeamViewer session on Monday, trying to debug an issue with $MACHINE. Got past the driver init failure which was the original issue, but couldn't actually test the operation of $MACHINE because no matter what the operator did, its sensors said "Nope! Conditions not met!".
16:17
<@gnolam>
Now they've gone "Oh, they had accidentally disconnected it. The COM port wasn't actually connected."
16:17
<@gnolam>
>_<
16:17
<~Vornicus>
This is going to end very stupidly isn't i--- yep
16:17
<@gnolam>
Note that the driver explicitly said that the bloody thing was online.
16:19
<@gnolam>
I guess it just... caches the status and then returns the last status it actually managed to get? Not caring if it can no longer actually contact the thing?
16:20
<@gnolam>
So yeah, I guess that's /another/ driver developer I need to fly down to punch in the teeth.
16:20
<@gnolam>
From the same company that gave us the error message "Error".
