[R]: it's not entirely pointless because most clients will do their own linebreaking, which makes the terminal emulator unable to follow the link across the linebreak
00:09
<&ToxicFrog>
So it becomes an issue for long links
00:09
<&[R]>
It is, because most of them don't impliment mouse support
00:10
<&ToxicFrog>
weechat both implements mouse support and allows opening links with keyboard hotkeys
00:10
<&ToxicFrog>
it's been a long time since I've used irssi or bitchx but I'd assume they support something similar, as extensions if not builtin

is there a better way to set an environment variable in a GitHub Action than: echo "VAR=value" >> $GITHUB_ENV ?

On mine they all worked, but the curly one dragged the closing curly along

By 'work' I include 'correctly omits the trailing bracket-thing'

(you have similar-length names which Konv decided to highlight in exactly the same colour, so I missed that the original question was by someone else)

If people have urlbuf that pushes links to the buffer... I was thinking about my voirc project and yet another way to handle passing voice messages, via PTT key and then data gets encoded, pushed to a pastebin (well termbin) hosted by me and each client simply needs a plugin to recognize a voice message which I was thinking of the format as VoiceBot PRIVMSG #CHANNEL
15:45
< Yossarian>
"voice(http://blahblah.ca:8080/hash" -- this implementation is a bit more a pain in the butt, however, if a bot handles it and it is handled by my own 'termbin' sever then it would be easy to exclude from urlbuf and have many chances for authentication
15:46
< Yossarian>
<Voicebot> msg(https://yoss-voice.nobl.ca/OkNucHhudH)
15:47
< Yossarian>
and then each client that has a small plugin to understand what that mean uses libcurl or something to go fetch it and feeds it through the codec2decode software
15:48
< Yossarian>
although I'd much prefer a mode for the plugins that will playback voIRC stuff immediately as it is or an option to mute it in case one was in the process of doing something important

<&ToxicFrog>
"urlbuf"?
