I guess I should clarify that it "solves" the "bash scripts can't find out their base-path" problem
01:51
<&[R]>
https://termbin.com/rm2r <-- some small changes
02:02
<&[R]>
Suggestions for different names for the terms would be nice, `handle` specifically isn't great

What the fuck
02:11
<&ToxicFrog>
So I found out why hue-rotate CSS filters don't do what I expect:
02:11
<&ToxicFrog>
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/19187905/why-doesnt-hue-rotation-by-180deg-and-180deg-yield-the-original-color
02:12
<&ToxicFrog>
tl;dr all extant browsers use an RGB colourspace approximation of hue rotation which is wildly inaccurate, especially for highly saturated colours, rather than converting to HSL and doing the rotation there, then converting back.
02:18
< Pink>
...jeeze, tf, that was a trip
02:30
<&ToxicFrog>
Pink: ikr?
02:31
<&ToxicFrog>
Here I am thinking I don't understand HSL or something but no, it's CSS that's wrong

< Yossarian>
general tech question: anyone heard of boards being finicky with peripherals with UEFI boot mode, secure boot on OR off?
10:41
< Yossarian>
I was about to install this Arch Linux distro (ArchBang, no live version) on a 240GB Kingston SSD, was switching around the different boot modes and then suddenly my video card wasn't outputting any more
10:42
< Yossarian>
I got it back on legacy and it's all good now, but required lots of turning on and off, taking CMOS battery out, unplugging, holding down reset button until LED on mobo goes out
11:05
< Yossarian>
very strange
11:08
< Yossarian>
ArchLabs doesn't have support for my wireless adapter, so I can't finish the install...

I suppose pacman has a facility for grabbing a package and I could put it on removable media and then install via pacman -U package.tar.gz ?
