All right.
02:58
<&McMartin>
There will be burritos, and then there will be test programs
03:22
<&McMartin>
OK. I have a test build of the v0.7.1 build for UQM for Mac. https://www.dropbox.com/s/pl5jd69carck59q/uqm-0.7.1a-mac.dmg?dl=0
03:23
<&McMartin>
It has not yet been tested on any laptop but my own; I would like to fix this state of affairs
03:36
<&McMartin>
So if anyone's got a Mac running... really, any version, for now, but eventually I'm hoping to test on much older ones... it'd be great to know if the thing can be installed and run.

< Yossarian>
I wonder what the Steam client or Steam Link is like on my smartphone? Kinda low spec but
04:16
<&McMartin>
Mobile steam client is pretty svelte, last I checked; it's really just the storefront and chat mechanisms
04:16
<&McMartin>
Steam Link... well, how well does full-screen video work for you

McMartin: I'll check on 10.14 in a bit. I still have a 10.10 that I haven't yet updated, but my former 10.8 machine is now 10.14 because its primary use was netflix and 10.8 no longer had modern web browsers.
07:21
<&McMartin>
Sounds good
08:56
< Yossarian>
[R]: yeah I was streaming to my obamaphone but the resolution on the phone is patheticc for anything of consequence.
09:09
<&Reiver>
... obamaphone?
09:14
< Yossarian>
ja
09:14
< Yossarian>
apparently this one is rootable though so that is interesting

Inexpensive government-subsidized phone, named after president Obama because the change to the 1979 telecommunications access laws that made mobile phones subsidizable happened under his administration
09:25
<&McMartin>
I usually see it in the context of people raging about THEIR TAX DOLLARS going to buy FANCY GADGETS for LAZY, SHIFTLESS GOOD-FOR-NOTHINGS, though I also note such people also get enraged upon learning that the homeless have occasional access to hot food and clean clothing
09:26

Where's that refrigerators screenshot when you need it

< Yossarian>
I pointed a guy to this channel with the nick verdule.
19:52
< Yossarian>
He's from the UK, nice bloke I guess. He keeps going on freenode on #phoronix to ask somewhat obscure questions and that channel is basically dead, very high latency, very crap signal.
19:54
< Yossarian>
I was trying to give him a crash course in how IRC works, if you have the means to idle on networks and particular channels to do such, but I don't know that it has sunk in yet. I hope nobody minds. I said you were all a friendly bunch and despite the name #code, this channel has multiple topics going on at times besides software.
19:54
< Yossarian>
Again, I hope nobody minds. If you're miffed about it, you can tar and feather me.
19:55
< Yossarian>
tar cvf me.
19:57
< Yossarian>
But I understand his frustration. He was asking in #phoronix on freenode about a USB-C 3x port hub with 3-in-1 MicroSD, SD, and CF card reader where you can mount all three types of cards at once and read/write to them. I told 'em, it depends on the chipset used in the little device... we know MicroSD & SD can be communicated with via GPIO pins very easily and the chipsets are all Chinese things
19:57
< Yossarian>
not well known, depends on how they implement the damned thing.
19:57
< Yossarian>
It's a hard question to answer as I have no experience with it, at least, lately.
20:23
<&ToxicFrog>
Huh. As written I think this RBG LED board has too much Ω on the R pin or something
20:23
<&ToxicFrog>
And perhaps not quite enough on the B pin
20:24
<&ToxicFrog>
Because when I do a test pattern, rather than KRYGCBMW, I get KRGGCBMC
