<@Alek>
it's a book AND games.
01:02
<@Alek>
I'm actually more a bit surprised it takes 4GB of RAM when the whole thing is only just over 1GB on disk.

ToxicFrog: ... huh. I may have given Plex the short shrift prematurely, then.
01:24 * Reiver will toddle back and reinstall it. >_>
01:24
<&Reiver>
It's worth a shot, though! Thank you!
01:25
<&ToxicFrog>
You're welcome, feel free to ping me if you have any more questions
01:43
<&Reiver>
I will! Hadn't occured to me at all to use Plex as the server and then something else as the client.

For reference, the setup here is: plex server on ancilla; rasplex (an open-source plex client) on raspberry pis connected to the TVs; plex browser client for desktops, laptops & phones; nginx as reverse proxy for remote access.

<@Alek>
talk about your multiplex. :P

<@gnolam>
Wohoo! Champagne time!
19:02
<@gnolam>
The software I've been working on for the last... uh... 6? years is now officially version 1.0.
19:03
<~Vornicus>
hooray
19:04
<&McMartin>
Gratz

< Emmy>
Hurray!
19:33
< Emmy>
biz software, or independent?
19:48
<@gnolam>
Biz.
19:48
<@gnolam>
But a tiny company.
19:49
<@gnolam>
(Tiny, but punching well above its weight in its very specialized field.)

Any VS Code users here? A developer elsenet is moving on from pycharm and is wondering if there are plugins or settings that He Should Already Know He Needs
20:08
<~Vornicus>
I briefly looked into vscode but felt like I needed to already know about plugins to get anything done
20:08
<~Vornicus>
I don't use any plugins on other things because it's always a pain in the ass to set up
20:08
<~Vornicus>
slash find
20:09
<~Vornicus>
I admit I'm somewhat of an outlier though, because setup is what gets me every time for everything
20:18
<&McMartin>
Apparently there's now a popular/recommended plugin set
20:19
<~Vornicus>
like if there's more setup than "run the installer" I probably won't
