Dare I attempt the feat of BATHTUB DEBUGGING?

Frankly I'd have rather stuck with the Drastic Measures~

16:18
<@Pandemic>

16:18
<@Pandemic>
let me refrase
16:18
< RichyB>
It's VB. Don't you have substr() to hand?
16:19
<@Pandemic>
I'm be most confortale with what he was trying to do in C++
16:19
<@Pandemic>
let me look that up RichyB
16:19
< RichyB>
oh, it might even be called mid$
16:20 * TheWatcher eyes some people, wonders WTF they have against .7z
16:20
<&ToxicFrog>
(also, what's the actual problem? You have an array of strings you want to group into two arrays based on string length? You have a character array/string you want to split at a defined index?)
16:21
<@Pandemic>
What he is trying to do, is travers a charicter array
16:21
<@Pandemic>
split words into seperate arrays
16:21
<@Pandemic>
but if the carichter count goes over 50 dump each work of charicters into a seperate group of arrays
16:22
<@Pandemic>
so, split, keep count and split into second group if over 50
16:22
<@Pandemic>
http://www.w3schools.com/vbscript/vbscript_ref_functions.asp string section is wher eI pointed him
16:22
<@Pandemic>
and I know how to do what he wants in c++
16:23
<@Pandemic>
and TF the first one
16:33
<@Pandemic>
in c++ I'd use a while loop, with the check condition being end of the array, then have in statements inside of the loop and have an i veriable to keep track of what index I was at in the array traversal and incrimet it at the end of eah loop
16:33
<@Pandemic>
I'm assume something similer might be possible in vb and or vb script
16:34
<&ToxicFrog>
the first one isn't what you actually just described, so now I'm even more confused
16:34
<&ToxicFrog>
But since I don't actually know VB I probably won't be much help anyways
16:34
<@Pandemic>
even as a windows sys admin I try to avoid VBscript as much as possible
16:35
<@Pandemic>
preferring powershell or batch files and cmd command modification as much as I can
