< TheWatcher>
What's that for?
22:02<~Vornicus> okay so DROD is a game where you play on a square grid. There's walls (grey in this image) and floors (black), and usually they each take up whole squares. But you're allowed to move diagonally between floor tiles even if there's a pair of walls that look like you can't get between. What I did was I rejiggered the shapes of tiles so the connectivity in such situations is more obvious.
22:03
< TheWatcher>
Shiny!
22:05<~Vornicus> THere aren't many places in this map where that would have happened; one is the end of the eastern spur.
22:08<~Vornicus> (other places are where there is an edge of slope 1 or -1 where the ends touch a wall tile)
22:14<~Vornicus> Okay, next: taking the polygons for each thing and combining them if they're part of the same large-scale object, so I can get the full edge around them.

22:33 * Vornicus fiddles. Thins that are adjacent in this way will share vertices, but in the opposite order of each other.

22:42 Reiver [orthianz@3CF3A5.E1CD01.C6689C.33956A] has joined #code
22:46<~Vornicus> Further, it's possible (and in fact easy) for two things to share two different groups of vertices and for those two different groups of vertices to be otherwise adjacent to each other in one of the two polygons.
22:57 * Vornicus thinks he needs to bounce these things off Der, he's the other one with knowledge down this alley.
23:21 * Vornicus refactors his polygon point chooser anyway because he can.
